Ok, I'm not a cake decorator....

But it really is something that just looks like it would be so much fun to do. I do have a cake that I made for my sons' 8th birthday. He decided that he wanted a Club Penguin cake. (Anyone else have kids who play that game? Drives me nuts, but at least it is a good site) So I actually am pretty proud of my penguin cake. As long as I don't compare side by side with a cake from a real professional. lol What do you think?

Not the best picture I know, it was taken with my cell phone. My son loved it. Everytime I look at cakes that other people have made it makes me want to try it again.

Crochet Hats

As I said, I am really loving crocheting. Hats are definitely my favorite, but I am always trying to learn new projects to start.

These are the cutest little bow hair clips. Or they can be clipped onto the hats! Too cute!

The Intro :)

I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now, but just have never gotten around to it. I had big ideas. I was going to start one on my 30th Birthday, but that came and went. Then I was was going to start it on my 31st Birthday...yeah, that came and went to. (But hey, not that long ago!) The plan was to do a 365 photo project. That is still something I would love to do, but I have to actually stop and make myself do it. I love photography, but some days I just do not want to pick up a camera. My name is Sheena. I am a wife of 13 years as of next month and a mother of 2 children, a 2 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. Other loves of mine are reading, writing, and crocheting. I love to read. I remember being in a book club when I was younger and all the books I would get. It was always exciting. I stopped reading for a bit but when I was 16 I had to do a book report in school. I grabbed the first book that sounded interesting just to get it done. Loves Music, Loves to Dance by Mary Higgins Clark....From that moment on, I now always have a book in my hand. I've pretty much read all of Mary Higgins Clarks' books. There may be 2 or 3 I haven't read, but that's not because I do not have them. I am a complete hoarder. I have an extensive collection that includes some I have not read, but plan and hope to in the future. As far as writing, I have so much in my head that I would just love to put down on paper. I used to write poems when I was a teenager. Poems that now make me cringe and want to find a lighter and get rid of them as quick as I can. I won't though. I know that one day I can show them to my children and say, "See, I know exactly what you are feeling". Crocheting is something I discovered 5-6ish months ago. I started out of boredom, just to see if I could teach myself how. It has now turned into an obsession of sorts. I love to crochet. Well, that is about all for now, but more is to come. :)
